30 Day OC Challenge: cadwo.deviantart.com/journal/3…
Day 6 prompt was: with a weapon of choice
Lessandero's weapon of choice is magic - the only weapon he's any good with, if maybe a little unpredictable. And for it he needs nothing but his right hand and the tattoo on it.
The writing on the banners reads: "Around me rages silence, within me sleeps the storm", it's a quote from the song "Asche" by Letzte Instanz, Lessandero's theme song.
I am absolutely in love with this

Overall the idea is pretty cool But i feel like you are missing some knowledge of some basics ( i won´t talk about anatomy because often people just stylize it)
The direction of the lightsource is pretty obvious in this one but it is actually hard to paint. You kinda treated it as a really big lightsource but what i would do is probably treat it like a really small lightsource for example a candle. This way you get much more mood into your painting and the bigger value changes would also make it more intresting.
And since you are going for a somewhat realistic style i would try to get rid of the lineart and really try to define the edges just with light and shadows
Also think about the color of your lightsource in this one it is kinda white/blue and it would give cool highlights to your piece (as you did on the hair) But on the face Some of the areas seem to be a bit to warm and you could just go even cooler there.
